Aid for Japan

Today we are taking a special collection to send to disaster relief for the Japan Earthquake.

Joint Service

The service this evening will be the monthly service with the Church of Scotland.   Although the service will be in Kyleakin Church of Scotland, it is our turn to host the service.

Faith Mission Convention

Please note that the service next Sunday evening will be led by the Faith Mission.   Their preacher for the weekend is Rev. Victor Maxwell of Acre Gospel Mission.   As their meetings on Sunday are in the village hall, it made sense to worship together and support their outreach.

Other meetings include:

Thursday – Kyle CofS, 7:30pm

Friday – Kyleakin CofS, 7:30pm

Saturday – Prayer meeting 10:00am (Kyleakin CofS)

Convention Meeting Portree CofS, 4:00pm and 7:00pm

MTW Team

Please note we are still looking for offers of accommodation for the four female interns we hope to have working with our congregations in June and July.   The team will be working jointly with ourselves and Plockton & Kyle Free Church, so ideally we should try to get half the team accommodated on our side, to share the load.   For ease of transport, the workable option on Skye is to put them team up somewhere in the Broadford or Kyleakin area.

If you are able to help with this, or know someone who might be able to, please contact Gordon.

Communion

The congregation will have communion on Sunday 17th April.   The preacher will be Angus Macrae, Dingwall Free Church, who will be take services on Saturday night, Sunday morning in Sleat, and Sunday evening in Broadford.

Anyone wanting to obey Christ’s command to remember his death in this way for the first time should contact Gordon or one of the other elders.   The Kirk Session will meet for this purpose on Friday and Saturday evenings after the services.
