News and Coming Events (D.V.)

 American Team

The American team will be with us on Wednesday and Thursday.   Along with helping out with the Mustard Seed Cafe again on Wednesday, they will be visiting door-to-door in some parts of Sleat.   Please pray for their efforts this week – that God will open for them a door for the Gospel.

Mustard Seed Cafe Team Meeting

There will be a meeting of everyone involved in staffing the Mustard Seed Cafe on Thursday (23rd June) in Sleat Free Church.   Please come along, even in you just occasionally help out or make soup.   There are a number of decisions to be made about the future of the Cafe, and as much input as possible from the team would be appreciated.

Please also remember the Food Hygiene Course on Tuesday 28th June at 7:00pm.

Alec Stewart – Licensing

Alec is to be “licensed to preach” at a special service in Kyle FC on Friday (24th June) at 7:30pm.   He has just finished 4 years at the FC College.   Jeremy Ross will preach and preside.

Sunday School & Congregational BBQ, Teens Camping

Please see the extra handout with details of the plans for Saturday’s Sunday School Trip.

Next Lord’s Day

The services next Lord’s Day will both be held jointly with the Church of Scotland.   The morning service will be the Sunday School Prize-giving, to be held in TDC, in the new building at Sabhal Mor Ostaig.   The evening service will be the monthly joint service, hosted by the CofS congregation.   That meeting will be followed by a special fellowship in support of HTC, and in memory of John Macrae.

Holiday Club

This year, the Holiday Club is being held earlier, on the 11th – 16th July.   For craft activities, we are in particular need of jam jars (we need about 30!) and kitchen roll tubes.   Any donations of these items are greatly appreciated, and can be dropped off at the manse.
