3rd Sunday Kyleakin Service

Please note the rescheduled “Third Sunday” service in Kyleakin is this afternoon at 3:30pm.

Training Courses

We have a small number of places for a Basic First Aid training course to be held Saturday 26th October, in Sleat.

There is also a Christians Against Poverty money course training day in Glasgow, on Saturday 30th November.   We hope to run this course in Sabhal Mor Ostaig, with new students this year, and are doing so with help from Grace Community Church (Kyle).   Having our own trained volunteers would make running future events a lot easier.

If you are interested in attending either of these courses, please speak to Gordon.

Joint Service with Church of Scotland

The service next Lord’s Day evening will be the monthly joint service with the Church of Scotland.   This service will be held in Kilmore Church, and will be led by Roddy Macrae (D.V.)

Rotas

Please inspect the new rotas in the lobby – if you are unable to carry out duties any of these Sundays, please inform Gordon ASAP.

A profitable Sunday – new guide by Rev Dr Iain D Campbell

Day One has published a short booklet on what makes a profitable Sunday for Christians studying at school, college or university. Written by former Free Church Moderator Rev Dr Iain D Campbell, the 20-page A5-sized guide encourages students to put their books away on the Lord’s Day and get involved in the life and work of their local church. Copies are available from Day One (email: sales@dayone.co.uk or call: 01568 613740) and are aimed at churches ministering to students.
